A cautious traveler’s tale I recently had the opportunity to visit the Golden Triangle in India, having previously had a disappointing experience in Goa. In 2018, I went to Goa with my family, but most of us got ill with food poisoning. This really put me off about India, and I didn’t want to go back. However, I decided that I needed to visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. I was apprehensive about my trip, but I was determined to make the most of it. I was very careful about what I ate and where I stayed, and I made sure to wash my hands frequently. I also avoided street food and ate at reputable restaurants.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Golden Triangle. The cities were clean and well-maintained, and the people were friendly and welcoming. I visited the Red Fort and Jama Masjid in Delhi, the Agra Fort and Taj Mahal in Agra, and the Hawa Mahal and Amber Fort in Jaipur. I also had the opportunity to try some of India’s delicious food. I enjoyed curries, tandoori chicken, and naan bread. I also tried some sweets, such as gulab jamun and jalebi. Overall, I had a wonderful time visiting the Golden Triangle. I’m glad that I decided to give India another chance. Here are some tips for cautious travelers to India: Be careful about what you eat and where you stay.
Avoid street food and eat at reputable restaurants. Wash your hands frequently. Drink bottled water. Be prepared for crowds. Dress modestly. Learn a few basic Hindi phrases. If you follow these tips, you can minimize your risk of getting sick and have a great time in India.
