The Extraordinary Journey of Andrew Morrissey My life has been anything but ordinary. From serving as a para royal engineer to traversing the globe, scaling mountains, and competing in grueling triathlons, I’ve embraced adventure and challenges with an unwavering spirit.

My journey began with five years of dedicated service in the army. I was fortunate to travel to locations like Cyprus, Gibraltar, and Jersey, where I forged lasting friendships and honed my skills as a para royal engineer. During this time, I also discovered my passion for boxing, eventually becoming captain of the Royal Engineers team and competing across the country. Leaving the army didn’t mean leaving my adventurous spirit behind. I seamlessly transitioned into the world of heavy machinery, becoming a skilled crane operator.

My expertise spanned tower cranes, mobile cranes, and eventually, offshore cranes. This new chapter led me to work on various oil rigs, drill ships, platforms, and jack-up rigs across the globe. Witnessing the construction of offshore structures and contributing to the world’s energy needs was a deeply rewarding experience. Over the last three years, I’ve reignited my love for fitness and competition. Competing in triathlons and Ironmans has pushed me to my limits, teaching me valuable lessons about resilience and determination.

The Seven Wonders and Beyond My insatiable thirst for adventure extends beyond the world of cranes and fitness. As a passionate traveler, I’ve explored every corner of the globe, working in various countries and immersing myself in diverse cultures. This year, I achieved a long-held dream: visiting all seven wonders of the world.

My journey of exploration continued with an unforgettable hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, a testament to human ingenuity and the wonders of the natural world. Conquering New Heights My love for adventure also takes me to the mountains. I’ve conquered peaks like Mount Fuji in Japan, Mount Toubkal in Morocco, and Mount Pico in Madeira.

The UK’s mountains also hold a special place in my heart, with Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon having been conquered countless times. Next year, I’m embarking on a new challenge: becoming a mountain leader.

This journey will allow me to share my passion for the mountains with others and help them experience the joy and exhilaration of reaching new heights. Join me on this journey of exploration, and let’s push our limits together.
